Why Melissa chose the Veterinary Industry: “Helping animals has always been a part of who I am. When I was younger I would pick up stray dogs and take them to the veterinarian, then find them homes. I would use my own money to pay for their care and often times hiding them from my parents. I love that I get to work with animals every day and be a part of helping sick or injured pets become healthy again. I also enjoy educating clients about preventative care and how to keep their pets healthy.”

About Melissa’s Pets: Beau is rescued pit bull with an amazing personality that she adpoted in 2013 as a puppy. He loves car rides and meeting new people. Melissa’s love for animals also includes horses. She traveled across Texas as an avid barrel racer for 15 years!
